I recently starred in the Olympics Opening Ceremony in front of up to 4 billion people throughout the World.  Fame at last!!

So greetings from a National Treasure (according to the Times!!). Not only that but I am also responsible for TV's greatest moment (according to Channel 5).

I am currently working on several projects as well as also appearing occaisionally on BBC South East as their weatherman.

Then there is a weekly online tv service, updated every Thursday, on www.netweather.tv.  This consists of a medium term outlook using state of the art 3-D graphics.

Finally can I recommend a set of retro fridge magnets or perhaps a Michael Fish 'forecast' coffee mug or a Che Guevara style T-shirt. (www.firebox.com/product/2263/Michael-Fish-Fridge-Magnet-Set)

This is the official site of Michael (Hurricane!!) Fish now retired from the Meteorological Office, although not entirely from the BBC, for whom I have broadcast to the UK and the World for over 37 years on radio, television and new media.

Freed of Civil Service red tape and bureaucracy, I have decided to take the plunge, let my hair down and do all the outrageous things I have not been able to do before!!

Already well established on the after dinner and cruise circuits, I have recently gained experience in acting, fronting adverts, compering, voice overs and am still on your screens as an occasional Weather Presenter for BBC South East Today and GMTV.

I also published a book in late 2007 in collaboration with two colleagues, Ian McCaskill and Paul Hudson. It is called 'Storm Force' and tells the story of all the devastating storms suffered by this country in the last few hundred years. It is published by Great Northern Books. PO Box 213, Ilkley, LS29 9WS. Autographed copies are available from the publishers (www.greatnorthernbooks.co.uk)

I welcome enquiries and there is, you will find, the means to do this on the site.

Thank you for visiting.
